This exquisite piece is a Vaddanam (also known as an Oddiyanam or Kamarbandh), a traditional waist belt popular in South Indian jewelry.

Design & Material: It features a broad, polished gold-toned metal belt that appears to be embossed with a traditional Kasu (coin) or intricate floral/geometric pattern. The belt is designed to cinch the waist of a saree or traditional skirt (lehenga/half-saree).
